Terms of Service

The basics of using alloNous apps.

Last updated: 3 July 2026 · Draft template — please review with your own or legal counsel before publishing.

This is a starting template, not legal advice. Apps distributed via the App Store are also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA); confirm consistency and complete the bracketed items before publishing.

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using an alloNous application ("App"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License

Subject to these Terms and the applicable App Store terms, alloNous grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices you own or control, for your personal or internal business use. Apps obtained through the App Store are also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

3. Ownership

The Apps, including their code, design, and trademarks, are owned by alloNous and its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you. Open-source components remain governed by their respective licenses.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except to the extent permitted by law; (b) use the App to infringe others' rights or violate applicable law; or (c) resell or redistribute the App except as permitted by Apple's terms.

5. Your content

You retain all rights to the files and content you create or process with the Apps. Because the Apps operate locally, alloNous does not access, store, or claim any rights to your content.

6. Purchases, subscriptions & refunds

Any paid features, one-time purchases, or subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store, subject to Apple's terms. Subscription management and refund requests are handled by Apple (see reportaproblem.apple.com).

7. Updates

We may release updates that add, change, or remove features. Availability of any feature may depend on your device and macOS version.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Apps are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. You are responsible for maintaining backups of important data.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, alloNous will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Apps.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [your jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. [Add dispute-resolution / venue terms as appropriate.]

11. Changes

We may update these Terms as our Apps evolve. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
